I started navigating my career path since I was in high school. I began to enjoy writing, creating art, and constructing posters and project displays for assignments. However, at the time I was unsure how these interests would translate into my future.
After receiving my Associates in Science from Navarro College, I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of North Texas at Dallas. Though I was grateful for all of the knowledge my courses had gifted me, I did not want to jump straight into Corporate America.

A long rooted dream for me had been to live and experience South Korea. Right after finishing my degree, I accepted a job to teach English and booked the first plane to Asia. Unexpectedly, COVID emerged and amidst the small moments of refuge with new friends, I stayed for 3 years.
After leaving, I traveled around Southeast Asia before preparing for my next adventure: Spain. I moved again, now to Madrid where I worked as an English conversation assistant. During this work experience something reignited in me as I began designing small materials to help promote their school events and fundraisers.

After almost a year in Spain, I returned back home. Coming back to the United States allowed me to reunite with my loving family and recenter the new goals I was beginning to form. During this past year I worked as a coach’s assistant while engaging in digital marketing and e-commerce courses. Alongside my studies, I began applying what I learned to the social media account: @Pocketbookcafe.
I now realize that industries such as fashion, makeup, books, food, and travel, hold a special sort of magic. One that brings a spark of enchantment to our everyday lives that is as powerful as the realm of stories because it is our very own. Digital platforms offer an outlet to connect. The memories we make, the way we express ourselves, the things that bring us joy is something real that we can hold.

The goal of this kindled aspiration is to assist creative companies to promote their ideas, products, and services to the world. I want to empower ventures to succeed in their journey by connecting them to their audience.
I am in the first few stepping stones of this goal, and I am excited to see where this path leads me.
